The Vertex Journal is an independent publication about data platforms: warehouses, lakehouses, pipelines, BI and the practices around them. Reviews carry verdicts; verdicts carry reasons.
The rules
Three rules govern every article. Factual claims link to sources a reader can check. Charts state their basis, either a linked source or an explicit "illustrative" label. Verdicts are falsifiable: "worth adopting", "wait", or "marketing", with the reasoning attached.
Funding
There is no sponsored content and there are no affiliate links. If that changes, this page will say so before any article does.
Corrections
When the facts change or we get one wrong, articles are updated in place and the change is noted. The RSS feed carries everything new.
